Here's the most recent position I have applied for at my place of employment ... this job description was written with me in mind ... now if I am just selected for an interview ... *sigh* ...
JOB TITLE: Programmer Analyst I DEPARTMENT: Support Services LOCATION: Lenexa, KS HOURS: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday *On call as needed* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under direct supervision, the Programmer Analyst I is responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, documentation, testing, support, implementation, maintenance and administration of programs for LabOne data capture systems. All duties must be completed in a timely and efficient manner as necessitated by business need. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent and one year work experience or 12-15 hours of program development related college coursework. MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED: Proficient in Visual Basic 6.0 (or Visual Basic .NET) Object-oriented programming Forms development Data access with the ADO object model Implementation of COM objects Proficient in SQL for Oracle Good Analytical Skills Attention to Detail Good Organizational Skills Good Communication Skills Ability to work in a team environment PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED: Web development with HTML, ASP, XML File management with the Windows Scripting Host PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
