Good morning world! Well, I called Cox Health yesterday - in reference to the interview for the Web Analyst position. They have agreed that, in my case, a telephone interview/conference call would be best. My thinking being that this would allow both parties to "feel out" the other, and see if it would be worth the trip for a face-to-face ... although the job sounds very interesting. A combination programming - marketing position, with some training of end-users/staff thrown in as a bonus. So, I get the weekend to think of questions so I can sound intelligent over the phone on Monday morning. hahahaha So I am staying pretty fluid right now ... my plans being to still go to KC after my last day at the clinic next week. My sister actually sounds somewhat excited that I am thinking of moving there ... considering how much I tormented her when we were growing up, that's a wonder! I would actually be much happier there than Springfield ... being a "city-boy" and all ... plus there is the salary issue ... if I stay employed as a lab rat, my pay will decrease (plus, since I have over 7 years experience, I would probably start out close to the top of the salary range!) - but, if I can break into the IT field ... my salary would probably start right around what I am making now ... which would be cool ... I mean, I know I can live on what I make right now Well, I'm pulling another day shift, so I guess I had better start getting ready for work ... only 4 days of gainful employment remain ... and I'm going to try and not work the last day I said I would! hehehehe (go figure) l8rz

OK, Bob told me that I have now made the obligatory first blog (a test blog), so I guess I had better figure out something to put down here . . . Packing ... trying to figure where to move .... will I have a job before I move (after all, the date is only 2 weeks away now, I can probably get some extra time from my landlord, or stay with a friend, or my cousin (but - they are expecting their first child that week too!)) ??? oh, did I mention packing yet? I moved to Tulsa, almost 13 years ago ... 1990 ... driving a 1977 Chevy Nova (the sedan, not the cool looking coupe - but still an excellent vehicle with over 200K on the odemeter!!) and it was filled with my stuff. That's it! One trip, I was moved ... now ... *sigh*

I've had applications out in Springfield for about 3 weeks now ... not even a nibble ... so, I decided to start feeling towards Kansas City (it's not Dallas, but still I dig it!) ... so the process starts anew .... job searching the city on the net, apartments, send the emailled applications, fax a copy the next day ... and along comes an email reply . . . from a 3 week old application for a Web Analyst that I dropped in Springfield Now what do I do?!?! True, this is only an offer to interview . . . but, it's a health care/IT job. The best of both of my worlds! Plus, with the word "WEB" in the job title, I deduce I will get to do something with the internet. A bonus!! Y'know ... I wish I still had that Chevy Nova now ...
